"Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of Lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow." James 1:17
The lovely old fashioned benches in my header sit empty, cold, perhaps even lonely. Why? Because we are on our feet, living our faith, or as some might say, living our theology! If you could pan the camera from these benches around to follow us, you would find us out there with skinned knees and bruises. We wear these badges of full-contact living as proof that we are sinners who trip up and butt heads--sinners in need of a Great Savior. We have that savior in Jesus Christ, the God-man who lived perfectly and died painfully so that we might live, praising God and enjoying Him forever! Oh, what a Savior! Every person in creation has a God-shaped void in his or her life craving to be filled. Nothing can satisfy this need except the One who fits that hole (something like the shapes in the old Tupperware Shape-O ball.) If you have spent a life-time striving, but still experience the tension of unsatisfied emptiness deep in your soul, why not stop today, here and now and invite Jesus Christ to move in and fill that God-shaped hole. As many have said, He is a gentleman. He will wait until you issue the invitation. For more info, look here and here and here.

I don't know about you, but I've made a few mistakes in my time. But thanks to Jesus, I'm Heaven-bound! You come too!
I never have been able to make up my mind - ask my children - I don't have one favorite color or movie or vegetable. It's the same with my interests. I love to write, but I also love to home school my children and cook. I'm enthralled with beauty and want to catch it on film or in watercolor. If only I could subsist on three hours of sleep instead of needing eight!
I'll be blogging about some of these interests.
Stop in frequently and don't forget to check out the links in my sidebar!
